Antonio joins M33

Colin owner and principal masseur of M33 is pleased to welcome Antonio who joined him and his team at the beginning of March 2012. Antonio grew up, the youngest of nine siblings, in the rain forest of Sarapiqui, Costa Rica. His home was very much connected to nature – there were no doors, walls, or roof attached to the home and the floor was the Earth. From the serenity of nature to the modern jungle of city

and most of all from the river located 50 meters from his home in his backyard. ”My mother first taught me my massage skills when I was only a child and I became deeply intrigued by massage therapy & healing” he says,

Colin says, “at M33 we aim to give the most exceptional and professional massage that we can” he continues ” It is a standard that I have set for my self and it is always this that sets the bar when I look for another masseur to join my team” he goes on ” attitude and sincerity is so important in this work, often clients feels nervous and even intimidated as well as curious and excited when taking a sensual massage for the first time, so its vital that the masseur is not only good with his hands but also with his feelings.  At our first meeting it was clear that Antonio had many of the qualities that I look out for. He clearly has a real and genuine connection with people, his charm, good looks and caring attitude indicate that irrespective of his training ( which in itself is diverse and comprehensive) he would be a welcome addition to the M33 team. Antonio goes on to explain that he worked for eight years in Costa Rica as a rafting guide while he also filmed adventure activities – “I would film and take pictures of tourists on the white water, rock climbing, canyoning, going on canopy, and horse back riding tours and then I would sell the films and pictures to the tourists. On the side, I gained a reputation for healing and I went around the rafting companies relieving the guides and tourists of their aches and pains”

In 2007, Antonio participated in the pan-American Rafting Championship in Mendoza, Argentina as one of the members of Costa Rica’s national team. It was his first time on a plane and it was also the first time anyone from his family had ever left the country. Upon his return, he says the travel bug set in and he traveled by foot, boats & by hitchhiking through Central America all the way up to Mexico.

Antonios journey continued when he flew to Germany and giving up his return flight to go to Turkey where he spent the summer working as a kayaking guide and filming white water activities and selling to the tourists.

He goes on to say that his desire to explore massage therapy and the healing arts took over and he flew to South East Asia. In Singapore he met a group of religious Malay women who performed pre-natal and after birth massages for women .

Antonio off duty!

” I was amazed by how ceremonial and traditional a genital massage could be. I studied Lingam and Yoni massage with one of these women who was passionate about her ability to heal erectile and ejaculation problems. She taught me the importance of treating the groin and pelvic area which carries tremendous tension and is often left neglected. I then met a Chinese doctor who introduced me to Jua Gen therapy and the art of manipulating and encouraging blood flow through the genital area”

When he returned to Costa Rica after a year and a half of traveling around Europe & East Asia, Antonio started massaging on the beaches of Guanacaste then was hired to work at a luxury spa resort in La Fortuna, Alahuela, Costa Rica.

Colin Richards creator of IMFM

This month Colin of M33 launched a new concept in male sexual performance and relationship consultancy. Called Intimacy Matters For Men or IMFM for short he explains that initially the web based consultancy will provide men and thier partners with a “one stop shop” for both bodywork treatments and counselling in all matters relating to mens intimate and sexual lives. The IMFM concept is as a result of a culmination of both Colins own personal journey of sexual learning and his past 7 years of experience working with and helping over 4000 male and some female clients, many of which came to him with a nagging issue regarding their intimate lives. Colin explains “Clients come to me for a variety of motivations” he says “many initially come for a relaxing massage where there is no worry about possible arousal occurring and where the orgasm…….

can be and often is included and regarded as just another element within the treatment” he goes on to say “however although this may be the primary reason for a client wanting a massage, frequently within the introductory chat, other issues emerge and I believe that it is because of the open minded, non judgemental, sensitive attitude that I take, coupled with with my now considerable understanding of what men really feel and what men really want, that helps them be at ease to talk about more intimate matters”

Who Comes For Treatment

He continues ” Obviously some clients come to me with no issues at all other than just over work and a need for 90 minutes of self indulgent relaxing massage, but many take this opportunity to discuss their concerns, fears, relationships, sexuality, secret desires and other subjects that they have felt unable to discuss before, often not even with their partner or doctor”

He goes on to say ” I guess one of the more common issues that I deal with are erectile problems and premature ejaculation but increasingly I am seeing men who are needing to explore and understand better, their sexuality. It seems that the internet with its proliferation or porn web sites has enabled many men to privately view sexual scenes that in the past they would not have dared risk being caught looking at and as a consequence are finding themselves attracted to a broader sexual spectrum that may include bi sexual mixed couple, gang bangs or even gay man on man scenes. So I now frequently receive emails from married men or men in relationships with girlfriends who are wanting to understand why they are finding themselves attracted to this and are feeling a desire to experience some same sex sensual or sexual intimacy”. Colin adds “The area of male sexuality has now become a specialist subject for me and I intend that IMFM will abe involved in some quite intensive research and data collection on this subject”.

Getting Better At It

He continues “I also advise men who want to learn to be better lovers to their partners, men who have fears and fantasies around sex, men who feel trapped by their religion or culture and feel that they cant be themselves”

And Women To

He explains that IMFM is not just for men but that women can also benefit from using its services.” Currently I also see female clients, these can be wives or girlfriends who want to understand and satisfy their man better, single women who want to understand the male sexual and emotional psyche better know how more confidently sensually satisfy a man, even women who are experiencing problem with their man but who cant get him to do anything about it so they take the initiative and come along first”

With this Colin sites the recent case af a 38 year old woman who after 18 years of marriage is still a virgin because her husband has chronic premature ejaculation and refuses to do anything about it.

The Incentive & Principals Behind the creation of IMFM

Colin explains that it was as a result of these many varied issues that clients were brining to him that in 2008 he trained in Psychsexual and Relationship Therapy and then in 2010 qualified as an Imago Relationship Educator. He is currently training in CBT, Hypnotherapy and NLP. He goes on to say ” Men and their sexual and emotional motivations are terribly misunderstood. For so long society (many of who have been men themselves) has portrayed the male of our species as a perennial sexual predator who if they are not on the hunt for sex will be at the least taking part in some activity that ultimately might lead to a successful conquest” Colin continues, ” like the emperors new clothes men continue to maintain this illusion when I believe the truth is that men are far more multi dimensional in their motivations for wanting sex. Its not just about penetration and orgasm, its also about intimacy, sensuality, passivity, tenderness, connection, acceptance, trust and mutual desire. Most men secretly know this and also understand that if they feel that their partner is not connecting with them during sex then arousal will often be effected”

It is this deeper understanding of mens intimate needs that has driven Colin to create Intimacy Matters For Men. He hopes that by providing a non judgemental supportive environment  where men can explore and understand their intimate lives betters he will begin to change the rather dated and stereotypical branding that men have been labelled with around sex

Colin says that he has come to realize that although there are places and practitioners for men to seek help from they are usually quite individual in their approach and wether a man accesses clinical or counselling support or possibly even erotic services to help him with his issue, all of which have their relevance and importance, more often than not there is not  constructive system in place to enable cross referrals and joint practitioner support ”

Colin goes on to explain his vision for IMFM “Initially it will be a web based recourse witha team of practitioners providing information, treatments, counselling and consultancy in all aspects in support of mens intimate lives. Headed by Colin as the principal therapist it will offer a task force approach by having available a multi disciplined team of independent therapists & practitioners who when necessary will work together for the benefit of the client. These will include Psychosexual Counsellors, Masseurs, Medical Experts, Body Image Consultants, Personal Trainers, Nutritionists, Life Change Coaches, even Surrogate Sex Partners.

Challenging the Norm

He goes on to give an example ” So when a client comes to IMFM with progressive situational erectile dysfunction, meaning that increasingly he cant get it up as well as he used to, then following a consultation with myself the client and I will build together a support program to to help him in the wider aspects of his life. We will do this by incorporating other practitioners that may include helping him manage better his stress, his diet, his health, his self worth and maybe his fitness then once these areas have been redressed and he feels more confident in himself rather than leave him to his own devices to do his “home work” alone he will be able to explore his new state of mind and health within the safe environment of IMFM and  possibly utilise the massage or surrogate sex worker treatments to help put theory into practice” He continues. ” I know that this all inclusive aspect of combining, clinical with therapeutic and erotic services is quite revolutionary and challenging (not least to the counselling and clinical establishment) but i feel that it is about time we deal with sex and intimacy in an adult manner and no longer denigrate the importance of the sex worker and that if well trained, supervised and provided in a safe and healthy environment practical sensual or sexual performance practice should be a fundamental part of improving an individuals sensual and sexual self worth

The Hoped for Future

Colin concludes “in time I hope that IMFM will grow from an internet based resource to a physical premises, where men (and their partners) can find support and help in the personal aspects of their lives or expand their knowledge of sexual intimacy and relationship by taking part in a workshop. Although it would be great to have people just feel able to drop in for a chat or a nice relaxing massage since often it is the simple need to be touched that initially givens men the excuse to delve in to their personal intimate stuff”.

Political leaders in St. Petersburg are about to vote on law that will make it illegal for any person to write a book, publish an article or speak in public about being gay, lesbian or transgender. The ruling party led by President Medvedev and Prime Minister Putin could make millions of people invisible with the stroke of a pen.

Human rights defenders around the country are doing everything they can to stop it. They are risking their freedom to organize flashmobs and protests, but they are afraid that it won’t be enough.

Right now, the world needs to speak up and tell Russian authorities to drop the bill. Join this call to leaders around the world to reach out to their counterparts in the Russian government – and ask them to reject this discriminatory and anti-democratic law.

Colin says……

I, like All Out, believe that equality is inevitable. But we all need to do our part to make that shift happen in 5 years, not 25.

It may come as a surprise to you that over the past 7 years more and more I am working with men who though publicly identify themselves as straight privately like to receive sensual intimacy via sensual massage from another man. This does not necessarily label them as gay or bisexual but simply sensual. In one month I may see 40 clients for massage with at least 50% of these men being in a happy  sexual relationship with a female partner and yet they seek to enjoy a moment of unconditional intimacy with another of the same sex. So it is not just the gay, lesbian and transgendered  that we need to support but anyone, male or female who at any time has thought or fantasised about some form of same sex intimacy.  As straight as he may profess to be I can’t belive Putin and similar narrow minded leaders have never taken part or considerd enjoying a FMF threesome, if so do the two girls with him also become outlawed. I think not!

Our sensuality should not be used as a political or religious weapon. For far to long the guilt and fear has been woven around our natural desires for intimacy and touch and it is through giving our individual voices to organisation such as ALL OUT that the natural balance of nature can be allowed to exist without aggresive intervention.
